a website written entirely in hieroglyphs
Reads a real Bluesky profile — including its three latest posts — and
carves it, glyph for glyph, into a floating stone shrine of real
Unicode Egyptian hieroglyphs (U+13000–U+1342F), a fixed
47-symbol substitution alphabet. Hover or tap any stele for the
translation, or reveal the full cipher below. Built for
@fromthewestmeadow.com, who asked for exactly this.
consulting the priesthood…
Every sign on this site is a fixed 1:1 substitution into real
Unicode Egyptian hieroglyphs (U+13000–U+1342F) — this
is the whole key. Any character not listed hashes deterministically
into the same block, so nothing ever falls back to a missing-glyph
box.
